Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her guidance and motivation to improving South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) products and services during an engagement with all the company's senior supervisors in a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled in the 2024 matric examinations.
Of your 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing eighty one% on the registered pupils inside the schooling sector.
These learners realized a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates the financial commitment national government is creating inside the lives of lousy and vulnerable kids is yielding a constructive effect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe reported.
